Being from Texas originally, my family has a long history for fishing, both river and Gulf of Mexico waters. One of my favorite lakes is Lake Fork, 80 miles east of Dallas, with 27,000 acres. It is said to be the best place for Bass fishing in the state of Texas.

My father used to have a shrimp boat for his fishing hobby, and he loved the Gulf and made a number of trips down to the Bay of Campeche for some deep sea fishing. My son-in-law has invested his life into fishing, has attended lots of tournaments across the country, and well on his way professionally, living now in Kissimmee, Florida. The state of Florida has many, many lakes and rivers to fish, not to mention the entire Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic side as well. With spring coming up before you know it, there will be fishermen lining up for their chance to hook a big one.
